Job Description: Forcier Consulting is seeking an Assistant Analyst to work in support roles for Forcier
Consulting Analysts. The position is designed to provide on-the-job experience for new college graduates
and
individuals
seeking
experience
in
the
international
development
field.
The Assistant Analyst assists in organizing, coding, cleaning, and reporting on qualitative as well as
quantitative survey data collected in the field. Assistant Analysts will learn from and support Analysts
working with qualitative and quantitative data collected in South Sudan, Sudan, Somalia, The Democratic
Republic of Congo, and Egypt.
Compensation: Stipend
Reports to: Lead Analyst
Daily Tasks:

Assist in the development of proposals for new business with regards to analytical design and
presentation of findings.
Assist in the development and validation of methodologically sound analysis plans for quantitative
and qualitative data.
Interface with analytics team members and other departments in quantitative and qualitative data
analysis.

Contribute to the drafting of high quality reports with analytics department members in a timely
manner.
Assist with editing of relevant reports.
Assist in the analysis and storage of statistical data.
Participate in periodic staff training on data analysis and research methodology.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree

Degree in Political Science, Public Policy, History, Anthropology, Development Studies, Statistics,
Economics, Finance, Quantitative Social Science or other related degree.

Required Skills:

Familiarity with statistical software including STATA, R and SPSS.

Professional fluency in English. Arabic, French and Spanish are a plus.
Familiarity working or studying in a cross-cultural setting.
Experience living or working in a developing country.
Availability to live in Cairo, Egypt.

Preferred (but not required) skills:

Knowledge of statistical methods, packages, programs and methodologies.
Familiarity with survey data.
Interest in development, project management and evaluation.
