The Negative Influence
Many people may not realize that music can turn the listener into negative person. Many
people may not realize that magazine cause the reader to go to depression. Another may not
realize that the media is growing in a positive and negative ways. The media is creating negatives
in this world. As American we need to censor some of the media, because some cause
violence, drugs and abnormal behavior.
The first thing is the music, music as a positive affect our society. Music is a too, is a
hobby and the most important, is that it an art form. Art is to create something that meaningful
and touches out heart, our soul, and set us free. But now and days music is dying. How is it it
dying? Well it creating a negative messages to the listener and is it also influencing the listener to
do negative thing and it influencing the youth mid.
There are two form of music. There are harmonics or disharmonic. Harmonic is when all
of the components of the song match with each other. It also the melody is pleasant or in words it
can stand alone. Timbre is clear and pleasant to hear. The tempo is not too fast or too slow. The
rhythm need to be clustered about and fully sympathetic to the main beat. Disharmonic is the
opposite of harmonic, they have a different style. The melody is little or none and the timbre is

8610486 2
harsh or dirty. The words are negative and a lot of repetition (Severance). Disharmonic as
negative effects to the listener like aggression hyperactive and other negative effects.
There much negativity in music like negative in music likes negative and some lyric as
negative reference like sex and drugs. For example, anaconda by Niki Minaja, it talks about
bums and snakes and it figuratively. Who cares about that what happens to the good song and it
has a wonderful messages. Also a new song called Coco by O.T. Genesis and the only lyric is
Im in love with the Coco or in other words Im in love with drugs; is this an example that we
give to our new generation.
There a time in everyone life that we just want to sit back and watch a movie or TV
shows. Well time as a weird way of showing change is the screens. Back then movies and show
to some movies or show it as some sort of negative reference. For was for all ages and some are
not. People can tell. Now and days you cant tell because if you look closely there just hidden.
In movie and the show profanity and drug and also nudity. With all of this negative
influence the future generation will think that its ok to do drugs and its ok that we can shoot out
the bomb to other people and it also talk about that we can do it on a young age but its wrong.
Video games are a way t escape this world and be some that youre not. You can be a cop
or a solder or you can be criminals. In video games there are no rules, the only rule is to enjoy
the game. The evolution of games is amazing because in the past it just a simple game to the
most realistic and amazing games ever. But apparently the consumer takes it too far. How far the
consumer you may ask. A 2010 survey by the Kaiser Family Foundation found that youth
between the age of 8 to 18 devotes sever-and-a-half hours a day to entertainment media. Less

8610486 3
than half of the kids surveyed said their parents have rules about the shows and games they can
watch or play.
Well video games now a day are so much graphic that makes it realistic. Some youth as a
weird way learning something new and also a weird way of expressing because of these
graphics. In Idaho the observers studies about the negative effects of violent video games and the
result is shocking. The scientist created two groups one of the groups in normal ordinary teen and
the other group has brains disorder called DBD. In these two group they both played violent
video games. In the test they exam the brains for test. After the test they tell them question and
scenario and look at their mental function. The result they find was amazing the ordinary teens
have less logical functions and common sense (Idaho).
Magazines are amazing because they tell everything about everything is also talks about
celebrity. The world of paper can give out amazing information to the reader, but in all light there
darkness.
Magazines can create a dark atmosphere to the reader because the images and facts
they say about the sexy look and this is what you look and this is what you need to look. The
images that they show on the magazines is say the same thing, you fat and ugly. The images
get in the mid of females youth and the effect is so dramatic that they influence their mind and
they say Im ugly I need to lose weight even though they look like a pencil. The effects are
eating disorders like being anorexia, and bulimia. The magazines show images of really skinny
women and it also tell the reader that size zero is sexy and media can damage the generations
self-esteem in many ways. One of the effects is depression another effects is anorexia and

8610486 4
bulimia and other eating disorder. The number one reason is the magazines that creat the
problem. (Teen Magazines)
What about social media? Social media is a way to connect to other people around he
world and also nationwide. You can talk to anybody and if your family is living in California and
youre in North Carolina, you can still be connected, but there are also dark sides to a coin.
Social networks can destroy a relationship for many reason but there also some other
negativity. Social media creates the wall between two screens that covers the person identity if
they choose too. With this wall they can do whatever they want, like they can bully you also
known as cyber bulling. It makes them easy to hide themselves from other people because they
can create fake profile. With that fake profile they can add people and see who they are and find
out where they live. With this information they can do whatever they want too. Robber can find
out as well if the person is leaving to a vacation. Social networking sites encourage people to be
more public about their personal lives. Because intimate details of our lives can be posted so
easily, users are prone to bypass the filters they might normally employ when talking about their
private lives. Whats more the things they post remain available indefinitely. While at one
moment a photo of friends doing shots at a party may seem harmless, the image may appear less
attractive in the context of an employers doing a background check. While most sites allow their
users to control who sees the things theyve posted, such as limitations are often forgotten, can
be difficult to control or dont work as well as advertised.
The media provided by social media is available to predators as well as friends. Kids
especially are vulnerable to the practice of cyber-bullying in which the perpetrators, even posing
as people their victims trust, terrorize individuals in front of their peers. The devastation of these

8610486 5
online attacks can leave deep mental scars. In several well-publicized cases, victims have even
been driven to suicide. The anonymity afforded online can bring out dark impulses that might
otherwise be suppressed. Cyber-bullying has spread widely among young teens, with 42%
reporting that they have been victim, according to a 2010 CBS News report.
Other people are not really connected even though there talking to each other. People are
too connected because there not talking face to face because their talking screen to screen. With
this interaction there are not talking with a human there are talking to a computer.
The media is amazing and how it work throughout the years, and how it process
information to other people around the nation and worldwide. But media is easily manipulated to
give any information to better them life and death, data and people can change it easily to
damage to any problem. But in any media there many negatives, for example the negative
images.
The negative images effect young kids because of the violence cause them to act violent.
Like some of the shooting in school. The shooting began in the internet or in school. They both
have the same effects, because of bullying. Bullying can scare some kids minds and they have
the mentality of if I have the chance I will kill him. Then he goes home play GTA or any
shooting game that related. If you dont know what is GTA is a game that you, as a character, are
your job to be a con-man or a gangster, or a robber. With each mission as someone to kill and in
the game is free world which means you can do anything, I mean anything, and you can kill him.
And the fault if there parents of owning a gun, can kill anyone. This also ties in music about
drugs. Drugs are powerful substance and it can really effects their mind and body. Song now and
days music as a dramatic change like the lyric as an influence of doing drugs and thinks of girls

8610486 6
like a toy and a piece of trash. Video as negative effects like nudity many people may not realize
that magazine cause the reader to go to depression. Another many not realize that the media is
growing in a positive and negative ways. The media is creating negatives effects in this world.
As American we need to censor some of the media, because some cause violence, drugs and
abnormal behavior.
