The format of a commercial is branched into 5 categories:

Headline (the most important) = first line that we read and arouses our

interest; it is placed at the top, usually seen in bold types of different sizes.
Illustrations (photographs or drawings) = they give an insight on how the

product looks like along with their respective brand name.


Body copy (the main text of an ad and continuation of the headline) = can
be seen written with smaller letters or having multiple lines; the scope is to

explain and sell the product.


Signature line (known as the brand message) = represented by

trademarks, logos, slogans, or packages.


Standing details (a detail that might include cut-out coupons or important
information) = defined by contact information of a firm or legal footnotes.
