Porvoo campus

study at the Porvoo Campus
which is a modern space that
is meant to be open, relaxing
and inviting for all its users. In
Porvoo it is possible to complete
degree programmes in Finnish
or English, with the qualification
titles of Bachelor in Hospitality Management and
Bachelor in Business Administration.
The operations of the Porvoo campus are
characterised by co-learning and involvement in

projects with a focus on working


life. The campus is also open to
the public daily, giving people
access to a nice restaurant, an
extensive professional library
and a number of comfortable
meeting places.
Studies are completed in
large modules, and learning
is promoted in many different ways: reading
literature, participating in lectures, seminars and
various workshops, and finding solution models
independently and in groups.

students who started studying Tourism at
Haaga-Helia in August 2015. Our degree leads to
Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Management.
Our multicultural class is a committed group
of people from around the world. We are
pleased to have the chance to study with
different nationalities and enjoy getting different
perspectives from each other. Our class is
enthusiastic and eager to learn more about the tourism industry and the skills we need
to become experts in the future.
In Porvoo Campus we get to participate in tourism related projects and we find this is a great
way to gain professionalism because we have the chance to collaborate with actual companies.
We have the opportunity to learn by working and are able to network during our studies. This
motivates us and we work diligently in our teams.
Business Tourism studies offer a great base for a professional career in international tourism
business and enable us to choose between two alternative specializations; Sales and Service
Development in Business Tourism or Events Planning and Management.

I have interest in and the knowledge of business, accounting

I consider my strengths to be the willingness to learn

In addition, I am a person who enjoys challenges and
working in a team in order to solve arising issues. Also,
I have the strength to stay calm in difficult and stressful
situations. During my studies at Haaga-Helia I would

My strengths are that I am highly energetic and a highly

One of my greatest strengths is my communication skills.


I feel comfortable talking to many types of people and I
can get along with them easily. I consider myself an openminded person who is able to understand different types of

One of my greatest strength is to inspire people. When I


truly believe in something and want it to happen, I can
inspire lots of people. Secondly, Im highly positive and

and I became really experienced in it, so I think that being

I have been travelling ever since I was young and took part
in many figure skating competitions abroad. I am a social
and open-hearted person and it is really important to me
to make people feel comfortable while talking to me. I
