Certificate
This is to certify that Shivam Chauhan, a student of class XII-s1 has
successfully completed the investigatory project under the guidance of
MR. Pankaj Pandey (Subject Teacher).
Acknowledgement
Primarily I would thank our physics teacher Mr. Pankaj Pandey, whose
valuable guidance has been the ones that helped me patch this project.
Then I would like to thank my parents, classmates and friends who have
helped me with their valuable suggestions.
TRANSISTOR
A transistor is a semiconductor device used
to amplify or switch electronic signals and electrical
power. It is composed of semiconductor material with at
least three terminals for connection to an external circuit.
A voltage or current applied to one pair of the transistor's
terminals changes the current through another pair of
terminals. Because the controlled (output) power can be
higher than the controlling (input) power, a transistor can
amplify a signal. Today, some transistors are packaged
individually, but many more are found embedded
in integrated circuits.
Advantages
The key advantages that have allowed transistors to
replace vacuum tubes in most applications are
Limitations
Transistors have the following limitations:

Flexible transistors
Researchers have made several kinds of flexible
transistors, transistors are useful in some kinds of flexible
displays and other flexible electronics.
