Put your library book in your backpack. It is library tomorrow. Tomorrow is chapel day. Put an offering in the white envelope (it is in the red folder). Your child is bringing home two library books today. At least one of these books is an AR that you can read and discuss with your child. Spend time reading or looking at those books together! Read your AR with someone in your family. Talk about it. Are you ready to take an AR test? If so, fill in the form and put it in your red folder. Enjoy your weekend! Take time to read during the weekend! Dont forget to worship on Sunday!
Notes
AR some notes of clarification
o There is no limit on the number of tests the children take during the week. I want to encourage them to take at lest one test. o The purpose is to read the book and discuss it so that they are prepared to answer comprehension questions. o One of the library books that your child brings home is an AR book that is appropriate for your child. o Read the book at least two times and talk about it both times before filling out the form indicating that they are ready to take a test. o At this point I am suggesting that you read the book to your child, unless they express an interest in reading it together. If your child is able and interested they can read the book aloud to you independently. o The tests will be read to the children by an adult or they will listen to a recorded voice (depending on the test).
