quotes
The museum is the place we now look to as the guardian of art, the place whose rules play a large part in defining our ways of
seeing. (page 20, culturally variable ways of seeing art and literature)
The museum has a large rule of how we see art, because the pieces we learn about are almost always in a museum. I feel
we don't pay much attention to the art that surrounds us because it's not Major arts.
The questions that have been raised, however, are meant to suggest that we should reflect much more carefully on how our
ways of seeing are determined and how they vary ( page 21, culturally variable way of seeing art and literature)
I agree that we should carefully reflect and observe the piece of art and how it can vary from other art or to what kind of
art it is. We could also use this in the things we read
Why do see as we do?
I feel we learn how and what to see in any art is who we are with and what we know about art.

Quotes continued
new context produce new ways of seeing; new ways of seeing produce new meaning (page 21, Culturally variable way of seeing
art and literature)
I think this is very true the more knowledge we have on any art, culture, religious or just crafts it would put a more
understanding on what the artist wanted you to see or feel.

If we consistently displayed these objects in a different way, would we start to think differently about them (page 22, Culturally
variable ways of seeing art and literature)
Yes if we displayed any objects in diffrent way we will think differently about them. A perfect example of this is the museum
of Utah university we saw one display with masking tape on a window and it created a beautiful peace where you seen how larying
it would cause a darker shade of blue. Another example U of U museum is the pink flagging tape hanging from the celing.

I enjoyed doing this because it was fun to learn different art and it helped me realize on how i can understand some pieces
of art. I also enjoyed this because of going to U of U museum on how some pieces of art did not make sense to me i think
back on how i could of paid closer attention to the background, the culture, the artist itself, or even surrounding art form
it's time.
