Audience: 5th Graders


Behaviour: Learn about rural life and farm animals
Start understanding some features of Simple Present Tense
Condition: A classroom with a projector and a computer which enables students to show
presentation
Degree: Studens will be able to identify farm animals, their voices and they will

be using Simple Present Tense in different contexts.

Learning-Teaching Methods [ASSURE (Select Strategies, Technology, Media and

We will use the Direct Method. Firstly, we will prepare a presentation on Prezi. It will be
in form of story, so students will understand easily a farmers life and his family. After
the presentation, teacher divides classroom into small groups which consists of 4, father,
mother and 2 children. Then, they will act out as a group.

Firstly, there will be a presentation made with Prezi. Then students will watch a video
about farm life, again. This video is like a repetition of the presentation. Students will
have gained the awareness of rural life.

Summary
First of all, students will acquire the vocabulary of farm life. Subject-verb agreement and
the usage of simple present tense will be gained by students throughout the exercises
and the presentation.

distribute the duties of a farmer. They will have learnt what a farmer does. Then, we will
want them to do a survey about farm life, their knowledge about it and their preferences
between rural and urban life.
