Effective Principles of Observation:

Wipe away preconceived notions before starting your observations.

Collect observations under different circumstances and from varied perspectives.

Take thorough notes, including quotes and details about the setting and atmosphere, and collect
important class documents.

Engage in active listening using a detached observer approach.

Keep systematic track of observations that surprise you or contradict your prior beliefs.

Pre-Class Notes (e.g., what are the teachers goals for the lesson? what are the demographics [e.g., student population,
class size, proficiency level] of the class?)

Goal: Choose the task writing about writing one

Pick each one topic about you care about a lot, why you think this topic you care about a lot, finally students in class
will vote one topic, then everyone will write this topic.

Description/Observation of the class

Reflection on/Interpretation of the class

Student are using the internet (from the newspaper,

websites, etc.) some hot topic to trying to find out the
topic they want to talk about and share those topic in
the group vote the group topic. I went through all the
groups help them find some topic give the student
some suggestions.

Students still dont know how to use internet to find

some topic, how to read the resources and the
newspaper. They still need to help to find the topic and
to decided which topic they want to talk. They are very
struggled about all those topics. They need more
practice about reading the newspaper and find the
reliable resources.

Students Topic:

3.Presentations: present your arguments to your classmates:

--Homelessness: the homeless people dont have about the differentces between their lives and others
----Students discuss:

Marine pollution: Food sources in the ocean

Homelessness: homeless people might resort to illegal activities out of desperation
Refugee crisis: might cause social unrest and cost a lot of meney to the host countries
Terrorism: parents being killed/families being destroyed if terrorism is solved, other problems will be
solved ..since you never know when /where an attack will happen, it might happen to you its not a
problem that can be solved with technology
World poverty: of the class could see the way people live in rural poverty, they would feel empathy for
them
Homelessness: could have a bad influence on society

 Water scarcity: could be contributing to climate change(?)in the future, countries could go to war over
water
