Another beautiful extract posted by our friend Izgrev Desly :

"Never forget this, each time you augment something, stop and ask yourself what
is decreasing at the same time. For instance, if you spend your time increasing
your wealth, you might wonder if your health is not decreasing.'

English Translation of the text posted by our friend Izgrev Desly :
'When I tell you that heaven and earth can belong to us, you do not believe me.
Yes, it is true, the whole world can be yours. And how? By belonging to you inwa
rdly. Why must it be externally? What would we do with all those seas, forests,
mountains and stars? I telll you that heaven and earth will belong to me one day
, and to you also one day, but you do not understand me.
How could one thing be the property of so many? What belongs to one person canno
t belong to another in the physical world, but in the divine world it is possibl
e.
I will give you an image: a rich man owns a beautiful garden full of magnificent
trees and flowers, but he is so immersed in his business affairs that he has no
time to walk in it or see its beauty.
Along comes a poet and spends all his time in the garden listening to the birds,
contemplating the flowers and fountains, breathing the fragrance of the roses a
nd turning it all into poetry. Does the garden not belong to the poet? What about
the owner? you ask. The taxes belong to him!
The earth is the property of a great many countries, but it belongs to me. Why n
ot? And to you too. It is simply a question of adjustment.

"Now that news of disasters reaches us from all over the world at all hours of t
he day and night, it is true that there are continually reasons to be sad. But w
hat use is this sadness? It will be of no help to anyone.
It is better to use it as an incentive to find ways of being useful. And to this
end, we should each begin straight away to let go of our personal worries, in w
hich we shut ourselves up as if in a prison.
The natural state of human beings should be joy, a joy in which they are actuall
y more serious and profound than those who continually wear their concerns, howe
ver legitimate, in the expression on their face.
For to arrive at this joy, you must have learned and understood that within us i
s a realm where light, love and freedom reign, far from the turmoil and troubles
of the world. And by remaining in touch with this region we can be useful to ot
hers."
