Key Accomplishments:
Utilizes a variety of approaches such as teacher led, child-centered, outdoor play, play based, inquiry
based and constructivist principles to plan and implement learning experiences in all areas of early
literacy, childrens literature and the language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, health and
physical education.

Completed nine-week, full-time practicum in a fully integrated first grade classroom of 17 children in a
suburban setting. Assumed the full teaching schedule for two weeks. Used a variety of curricula and the
balanced literacy approach to teach mathematics, writing, reading, science, social studies and social
interaction/thinking.

Utilized Massachusetts Professional Standards for Teachers, Massachusetts Curriculum
Frameworks/Common Core State Standards and WIDA to develop and implement lesson plans
Used social and emotional learning curricula, Social Thinking and Responsive Classroom, to teach
strategies that promote a healthy classroom culture and assist students in developing skills to manage their
emotions, resolve conflicts, and make responsible decisions.
Implemented accommodations and modifications included in both 504 Plans and Individualized Education
Plans in the classroom to ensure students received full access to the curriculum in the Least Restrictive
Environment.
Conducted formal assessments in phonemic awareness (Marie Clay) and mathematics; designed and used
various evaluative procedures to assess student learning and plan appropriate instruction.

Applied Behavior Analysis Technician
Worked across the district gathering and analyzing behavior data at the pre-k, kindergarten, first grade, and

Implemented Individual Education Plans (IEPs), under direction of the Program Coordinator (Board
Certified Behavior Analyst - BCBA) in integrated and substantially separate classroom settings.
Worked closely with all members of educational team (Program Coordinator (BCBA), Parents, Speech &
Language Pathologist, School Psychologist and Regular Education Teachers) to serve as a liaison and
develop programming (academic, behavioral and social skills)
Assisted students to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills including toilet training, eating, and
other self-help skills, using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) including Discrete Trial
Training.
Wrote IEPs, progress reports, and other requested written assignments related to the students.
Acquired strong understanding and use of the assessment tools, e.g., CARS and ABLLS-R.
