A former commander of HMCS Discovery has been charged with alleged sex
abuse involving Sea Cadets. Beverly Richard Wilson is facing three counts of
indecent assault and two counts of gross indecency.

The incidents involving Wilson are alleged to have occurred between 1973 and
1980. They involved cadets who were 12 to 16 years old.
Vancouver Police spokesperson, Constable Anne Drennan says there's another
victim. "As a result of this investigation of the incidents involving these three
victims, a fourth victim has now come forward," she says. "We did the initial
interview with this fourth victim on Wednesday, and it's anticipated that more
charges will be laid as a result of that."
She says there may also be more victims.
Wilson is the third Discovery officer to be charged in the two-year investigation.
He is a decorated war hero who served at Dunkirk during the Second World War.
He will appear in court next month.
