Associate ISD - Background


Who Will We Target?

Internal employees interested in learning the ISD role

What Will They Be Doing?

Associate ISDs will become familiar with the ISD role while completing a 12 month
training program

Planning, organizing, and developing training curricula, materials, and programs to meet
training needs

Developing learning content to support agent, client and supervisory education

Developing and producing content in the Smart Guide knowledge base

Why?

Contribute to positive attrition

Full training curriculum will properly train them for future ISD roles within the organization

Opportunity to grow talent for higher level roles without looking outside the company

Assoc. ISDs will assist current ISDs with projects while completing training

How We Can Accomplish

Full week of onboarding to acclimate to ISD department

Three Levels of Training for Certification

Level 1 ADDIE
Level 2 Putting it all together
Level 3 Performance Management

Ongoing mentoring

Participation in Staff Meetings, Brown Bag Sessions, Professional Development


Workshops
Partnering with Project Management to learn how to better support the process

Level 1 - Foundations of ADDIE

ANALYZE Analyzing learners to target course content, how to learn what you dont
know, important questions to ask during this phase, working with SMEs and PMs

DESIGN Course Objectives, Appropriate Instructional Methods, Blooms Taxonomy,


Templates, Adult Learning

DEVELOP Storyboarding, Rapid Development Tools (Captivate, Articulate,


Photoshop), Editing, Tools & Templates

IMPLEMENT MindSpring, LMS, Train the Trainer

EVALUATE Building assessments and evaluating performance

Earn certification once this level is completed to move to Level 2

Level 2 Putting it Together

Work with assigned ISD mentor


Co-develop a full curriculum with ISD Mentor
Discuss lessons learned with ISD team

Level 3 Performance Management

Pass observation process for 3 projects


Once observation process is complete they become certified as an ISD
They must work projects for 1 year then can post for open ISD positions
