Thank-you for showing

your interest in attending the State

Leadership Conference, hosted by the N.C. FBLA in March, 2016. This State
Leadership Conference, abbreviated SLC, is a program of sessions, workshops, and
competitive events hosted in Greensboro N.C. that are made to strengthen your
skills as a growing business professional. Throughout this conference, you will
experience new, invigorating and exciting opportunities and events that you can
only experience at a statewide conference. Many of you will be competing for the
first time, and some will be competing in programs that you succeeded in during
the RCE. The Kinston High School FBLA hopes for many successes and many
victories, as well as a high rate of knowledge gain and opportunity gathering.
Unfortunately, SLC comes at a cost that is not exactly the smallest. To attend
SLC, you, an FBLA member, must be in good standing with the organization, as
well as debt free from our organization. We must take precautions to protect our
organization from bankruptcy and losing vital funds that we need to excel. This
being said, you are being presented with this contract that lays out each and every
step of preparing for State Leadership Conference, and that helps you keep a
financial plan, and ensures you are aware of all due dates and monies you owe to
the organization. Please carefully read each outlined section before signing and
understand by signing this contract, you are giving your full agreement to all
terms.

State Leadership Conference Intent Contract

Please carefully read all terms listed in the contract and clearly sign and
date where indicated!
By signing this contract, you agree to pay all monies due to the Kinston High
School FBLA Treasurer by the pre-determined due date. If you fail to pay the
appropriate amount of funds by this due date you will be placed on the in-debtness
list per the school and KHS FBLA.
If you do not pay in full by the due date (February 2nd) or the date of the
conference (March 15th) you will not be permitted to attend SLC.
If you do not sign up for an event, you will not be permitted to attend SLC.
If you fail to submit your event testing (online only) and materials required, you will
not be permitted to attend.
If you fail to submit field trip forms and all necessary paperwork for absence
exemption you will not be permitted to attend.
If you become in bad standing with the organization and do not abide by
probationary terms you will not be permitted to attend.
Inability to attend SLC for ANY reason, including failure to abide by this
contract, will result in forfeiture of ANY monies received from the student
or parent/guardian.
By signing this contract, and agreeing to the terms and conditions listed; I am
granting permission to the advisors to submit my intent to attend State Leadership
Conference in March, and agree to all terms listed above.
