Chapter III

Methodology
This chapter will present the description of the research methods used.
It will give details of the progressive development of the research in a stepby-step manner. It will include the following: Research design, research
respondents, research instrument and data gathering procedures.
Research Method
The researchers employed the Descriptive-Comparative Design. This
research design compares the characteristics of groups according to some
related variables. The grades of the respondents in the given questionnaires
was observed and evaluated.
Respondents
The respondents were from Grade 9 and Grade 10 students of Start
classes of General Santos City National High School.
Gathering of Data
The result findings were extracted and analyzed based on the grades
gathered from Grade 9 and Grade 10 Star students. Results of the study
were interpreted to arrive at the conclusion and recommendation.
The research utilized Robert Ebels Criteria to evaluate the respondents
level of proficiency.
