Vamos olhar para as cartas do Cachorro e do Cavaleiro como pessoas.
A Mulher, o Cavalheiro, e as cartas de corte (Reis, Rainhas, e Valetes) todos
podem representar pessoas no baralho Lenormand, assim como outras
poucas cartas.

Lembre-se sempre que a leitura de cartas para ter sucesso depende de

contexto. O que significa que uma combinao de cartas em uma situao
pode ser muito diferente em outra, por exemplo, as mesmas cartas podem

Quando eu comecei a ler as cartas Lenormand, algum me deu uma boa

dica, na forma de uma histria sobre a Serpente e a Cegonha. divertido, e
extremamente preciso.
Note-se que, na Blgica, a gerao mais velha l quase que exclusivamente
com apenas um tipo de baralho Lenormand, o Carta Mundi Belga. tambm
o deck mais utilizado no meu blog (. Se voc usa um baralho diferente, esta
dica a mesma, mas voc pode ter que ajust-la de acordo com o modo
que a Cegonha e a Serpente esto se olhando.
Voc sabia que as cegonhas comem cobras? Na natureza assim.
Isso tambm faz sentido na leitura com o Lenormand.
Se a pergunta sobre o resultado de uma situao, ou se esta uma
combinao na Mesa Real, Serpente + Cegonhas significa que depois de um
momento ruim (mentiras, stress, etc) h uma mudana a caminho. A
Cegonha traz sempre uma mudana nesta combinao, de forma positiva.
Observe a carta aps a Cegonha para confirmar o que esta mudana lhe
trar.
A Cegonha supera a Serpente, pelo menos, se ela a tem em sua mira,
porque a cobra no ousar olhar para ela. Na natureza, a cegonha observa a
serpente no olho. Boas vitrias sobre o mal.

a Serpente pode atacar com sua natureza fria e calculista, para que a

positivas e de boa sorte podem confirmar suas esperanas e desejos,

A Cruz e seus mistrios

Assim como o Calendrio Gregoriano que utilizamos divide o tempo
entre Antes do Cristo e Depois do Cristo, a carta 36, A Cruz, deixa pra trs o
que est a sua esquerda e amplia o que vem sua direita. O que est a
esquerda no cortado ou encerrado como acontece com a Foice (10) ou
Caixo (08), mas diminudo, deixado em segundo plano - sua importncia
reduzida em funo do que vem depois. Se esquerda da Cruz est, por
exemplo, a viagem do Navio (03), e sua direita o Sol (31), a viagem
encurtada, deixada de lado ou esquecida, e o Sol (31), intensificado, brilhar
mais forte - ainda que, neste caso, queimando a pele de algum: aquilo que
descreve a Cruz, descreve algum sofrimento, alguma dor.
Se uma pessoa que a Cruz traz do passado, de volta para a vida do
Consulente, certamente no algum fcil de lidar - h a algum desafio. E
algumas vezes as Cruz identifica uma pessoa religiosa, pode ser um padre,

concorrido, em que o consulente vai precisar "suar a camisa" se quiser xito,
at os desafiadores encontros com quem (ou o qu) o consulente imaginava
ter deixado confinado ao passado, e lhe provoque as mais confusas
emoes: aquelas de perder o sono.
E se ser uma, algumas ou muitas noites de sono perdido, responde
a distncia entre a Cruz e o Consulente: perto dele, h de passar logo;
quanto mais longe, mais demora at que se desfaa a dor.
Abrindo a Mesa Real, ela anuncia um perodo difcil, e como a ltima
carta, em sua prpria casa, encerra um ciclo. Abrindo uma linha de cartas
(dentro ou fora da Mesa Real) ela pede ateno: olhe em volta e descubra
onde esto os desafios. Logo acima do consulente, anuncia grande estresse,
preocupaes, um fardo - as cartas em voltam explicam sobre o que se
refere. Abaixo do consulente mostra que, apesar de preocupado e desafiado,
o consulente lida bem com as dificuldades que ela traz.
Aqui no Brasil esta carta vista como a carta das vitrias e superaes, e
pra mim isso faz muito sentido, a partir do significado tradicional de dor e
pesar, embora eu raramente perceba a carta como uma vitria. Se h noites
de sono perdidas e aflio, em algum momento o ideal que sejam
superados, e que se possa lembrar daquele perodo como um divisor entre
mais e menos evoludo ou consciente... mas este um outro assunto, e fica
pra outra vez!

A Cruz do Esmeralda Lenormand - que curiosamente saiu com um erro de

impresso,
e, onde devia estar "agora, e no bom", saiu "agora, bom", acompanhando
o estilo Brasileiro!

The Cross
Like the Gregorian calendar divides Christian era between AD and

The Cross will always bring a test or a trial, usually a difficulty to be
faced - for instance a harsh job interview or a difficult and challenging exam

para cartas invertidas - as vezes completamente diferentes dos significados
das cartas em sua posio vertical (em p). O artigo cuja traduo

Teoria Lenormand: Inverses.

Este post uma traduo do original de Andy Boroveshengra que voc pode
encontrar aqui.
Andy Boroveshengra (Andy BC) um dos mais respeitados
professores de Lenormand Tradicional no mundo, e autor do
livro "Lenormand Thirty-Six Cards: An Introduction to the petit-Lenormand"
que voc pode encontrar aqui .

Voc usa inverses com o petit-Lenormand? Pessoalmente, eu nunca fao e

eu no as defendo. Isso, no entanto, apenas a minha opinio. Mas como
as pessoas me perguntam por que, vou descrever aqui.

Quando as pessoas falam do "petit-Lenormand" h uma tendncia para

Inverses so utilizadas em alguns mtodos de cartomancia h bastante
tempo; no entanto, elas aparecem muitos nos mtodos de baralhos
reduzidos* (*menor nmero de cartas). H muito tempo, para economizar
nos custos, os baralhos comearam a ser reduzidos. Baralhos de 32 cartas,
como o usado no Bsigue e adaptado por Etteilla para o petit-Etteilla, eram
populares para a leitura da sorte na Frana, Alemanha, Pases Baixos, por
causa do jogo. Piquet e Skat tm suas origens no Briscola Italiano (jogado
com 40 cartas), que era um antepassado de um prottipo de Sibilla.
Ao contrrio do que a maioria pensa sobre as inverses (isto ,"bloqueado",
"oposto", "passado" etc), na reduo dos baralhos de adivinhao as
inverses tm significados diferentes, e muitas vezes no relacionados entre
verticais (em p) e invertidas. Da mesma forma, mltiplos, ou seja, 3 reis ou
dois Ases, tm significados distintos para verticais e invertidas mltiplas, de
modo que se voc tiver quatro Reis e trs forem invertidas voc s tem um
mltiplo de trs Reis invertidos.
Por exemplo, a tabela a seguir apresenta significados para duas cartas em
dois sistemas que eu uso para o
9 de ouros:

Para o 7 de Paus:

Os significados das cartas verticais e invertidas podem ser ainda mais

modificados pela presena de outras cartas. Por exemplo, Espadas com o 9
de ouros na vertical significa grave perigo, a menos que seja o 8 de
Espadas, quando uma discusso com o potencial de violncia.
Em Schafkopf ou Jass, as inverses eram predominantemente menos
comuns, mas os significados de uma carta poderiam ser modificados ou
alterados, por vezes completamente, ao estar rodeada por um naipe, ou ter
ainda um outro significado por estar rodeado por dois naipes ou na
proximidade de outra carta.

Por exemplo, no Schafkopf, o 9 de sinos (ouros) representa as finanas em
geral, mas se tocada por vrias folhas (espadas) o seu significado torna-se o
trabalho em geral, e se com coraes (copas), torna-se felicidade no lar - no
entanto, se estiver perto do 9 de Copas, significa viagem, independente de
estar ou no rodeado por um naipe. Todos esses significados se tornam
malficos, ou seja, desgosto no trabalho (com folhas) ou uma viagem

perturbadora (perto do 9 de Copas) se o Rei ou Valete superior* de Copas

(*carta equivalente s damas do padro francs) esto cercados
por bolotas, uma vez que estes representam o consulente se homem ou
mulher, respectivamente .
Cada mtodo de cartomancia tem suas prprias regras e dentro delas,
muitos meandros. Tentar encaixar o mtodo Bsigue de reverses para
Schafkopf seria como tentar misturar francs com alemo e tentar se
comunicar na Argentina: a confuso iria prevalecer e a impreciso seria o
resultado.
O mtodo do Petit-Lenormand d instrues claras sobre a forma como as
cartas so lidas, bem como os significados das cartas so modificados
dependendo da proximidade ou distncia do consulente ou de cartas-chave
(Nuvens, anel). E isso. Esses so os significados que voc deve usar. Se

pouco comuns e em geral o mtodo de distncia distncia predomina. No
entanto, h muitas diferenas para que seja visto como "parte de" ou um
"sub-tipo" do mtodo - Se por exemplo, a carta Bouquet de Flores toca um
determinado naipe, no se modifica o seu significado - portanto o PetitLenormand no segue o Skat ou Bsigue, etc.
Por isso,.o prprio Lenormand classificado como uma metodologia singular.
Concluindo, muito difcil que algum possa incorporar inverses em suas
leituras sem subverter as principais caractersticas que definem o PetitLenormand. Por esta razo, voc deve se perguntar: ao adicionar inverses,
est deixando de ler o Petit-Lenormand?

Lenormand is not read in single cards as much as in the way the cards
combine together to create unique blends. But before you can "cook the
Lenormand recipe," you need to know each of the ingredients.
So here are some suggestions for card meanings. These are by no means
comprehensive or complete, but a means to get you started. In acutal
readings, each of the cards are impacted by the cards beside them. I am
heavily influenced by the French systemof reading Lenormand.

Card Meanings:

1. Rider messages, moving along, happens quickly, transportation but

without an engine (Ship card has a motor), horseback riding, lover who
moves through quickly
2. Clover - little luck, good, small amount of good fortune, small gamble.
Grass or greenery. Not the big outcome (which would be flower or sun), but
a little perk.
3. Ship transportation, things with an engine, travel, foreign or foreigner,
moving, commerce, International.

To read Lenormand we need to know how to string keywords together to
form a sentence or a combined meaning. We already know that Rider
means: Messenger, News, Visitor, Speed; but Lenormand is best read in
combinations. Heres a list of what happens when we start adding cards to
the Rider with the intention of making a sentence/combined meaning to
describe what the two cards together are telling us. I welcome your
interpretations in the comments! The best combos left by readers will be
added to these (to make a kick-ass list!)
Sidenote: Rider is the main card in these examples, therefore the other
added cards will modify the Rider (rather than the other way around.) That
is to say, the focus will be on the Rider card which will be influenced by the

When I started learning Lenormand the first thing I was taught was that I
would need to decide on the keywords (card meanings) for each of the 36
cards in the deck. As someone relatively new to this journey I have settled
on a few basic keywords from which I can begin.
My keywords are derived from traditional meanings, and in some cases I
have opted to go with the French tradition rather than the German (eg: I
use Fox to mean employment and Whip to mean sex.) My list is very
minimalistic, but for now this is all I will need to begin reading Lenormand.
(I suggest you decide on your own meanings for the cards.)
