DURING CONSTRUCTION THE STRUCTURE SHALL BE MAINTAINED IN A SAFE AND STABLE CONDITION
AND NO PART SHALL BE OVERSTRESSED. TEMPORARY BRACING SHALL BE PROVIDED BY THE CONTRACTOR
AS REQUIRED TO KEEP THE WORKS AND EXCAVATIONS STABLE AT ALL TIMES.

FORMWORK

THE DESIGN CERTIFICATION, CONSTRUCTION AND PERFORMANCE OF THE FORMWORK AND FALSE
WORK IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR.

12. CURING OF ALL CONCRETE SHALL BE ACHIEVED BY KEEPING SURFACES CONTINUOUSLY WET
FOR A PERIOD OF 3 DAYS, AND PREVENTION OF LOSS OF MOISTURE FOR A TOTAL OF 7 DAYS
FOLLOWED BY A GRADUAL DRYING OUT. APPROVED SPRAYED ON CURING COMPOUNDS MAY
BE USED WHERE NO FLOOR FINISHES ARE PROPOSED. POLYTHENE SHEETING OR WET HESSIAN MAY
BE USED IF PROTECTED FROM WIND AND TRAFFIC.

ALL CORES ARE TO BE FILLED WITH 20 MPa CONCRETE (10 mm AGGREGATE SIZE, MAXIMUM
SLUMP 200).

PROVIDE CLEAN OUT HOLES AT BOTTOM OF ALL FILLED CORES.

PROVIDE 65 mm COVER FROM THE OUTSIDE OF THE BLOCKWORK TO ALLOW ADEQUATE
GROUT COVER TO REINFORCEMENT.

PROVIDE VERTICAL JOINTS IN BLOCKWORK AT MAX 10 METRE CENTRES UNLESS NOTED
OTHERWISE (UNO).

RESTORED TO ITS ORIGINAL CONDITION AS DIRECTED BY THE CONTRACT MANAGER
4. ALL EXISTING STRUCTURE AND OBSTRUCTION WHICH WILL INTERFERE
THE WORK SHALL BE COMPLETELY REMOVED AND DISPOSED OFF
FROM THE SITE.
