1. Three incandescent lamps rated at 60W, 100W, 150W are connected in series. The
series arrangement connected across a 230 V supply. Calculate Power Absorbed by
each lamp, voltage across each lamp. Also prove that power absorbed is equal to
power supplied.

2. An electric radiating heater is required to dissipate 1kW power, when connected to a
230 V supply. A wire of 0.5 mm diameter is used in the construction of the above
mentioned heater, having specific resistance of 60 -cm. Calculate the required
length of wire.

3. Calculate Io and voltage across 60 resistor for the circuit shown in figure-1. (8)
