Rob Portman is one of the
current Senators of Ohio.
Senator Portman has been in
office since 2011.
He is running for re-election in
2016.
He is a Republican.
Rob Portman has 5 current
campaign offices around the
State of Ohio.and more are
being currently set-up!

Issues
Jobs: Senator Rob Portman is fighting to simplify and
reform our tax code, reform our regulatory system, and
improve our worker retraining programs to make America
more competitive and to unleash the innovative spirit of
the American people.

Budget: Senator Portman believes we need to work


toward a balanced budget and reform our critical
mandatory spending programs to make them sustainable
for the future.

Energy: Senator Rob Portman believes we must pursue


an all-the-above energy strategy to reduce energy prices,
protect national security, and create jobs here at home.

Issues
2nd Amendment: Senator Rob Portman is a proud defender
of the 2nd Amendment and has consistently voted to protect
our Constitutional rights. Senator Portman also believes we
should work to reduce gun violence through better
enforcement of current gun laws, and enhancing school
security.

Obamacare: Senator Rob Portman believes that Obamacare


must be repealed and replaced with reforms that will actually
lower costs and improve the quality of our health care.

Protecting Life: Senator Portman supports pro-life


legislation and he has voted on numerous occasions to
prohibit taxpayer funding of abortion.

What do interns do?


As an intern you are assigned to work alongside
staff responsible for the Senators legislative,
press, and administrative operations.

You will also assist with office management,


research, data entry, coalition outreach
activities, voter contacts, grassroots organizing,
event planning, and interaction with campaigns.

Do I qualify?
Internship is open to any student from the age of
18 to 24.

Do not need to be a Political Science major/minor.


Must be able to commit to at least 20 hours per
week.

Responsible for your own transportation.


Unpaid position, but can be eligible for academic
credit or service hours.

Benefits
You will be provided with great political
opportunities.

When you complete the program, you will receive a


letter of recommendation to a future employer.

You will gain more knowledge about campaigning


and effective public communications.

You will gain knowledge about the democratic


process and work to become an adept
communicator through hands on experience with
elected officials, candidates, and the general public.
