Communication Plan
In the 21st century, technology is starting to become more popular and influencing schools
all around the globe. It seems that technology is being more relied on for school, work, and
communication around the world. In education, technology can be a very useful tool. From
getting additional information for an assignment to communicating with another student across
the country, technology is always easily accessible. Many parents and stakeholders are wondering
how classroom websites work and the safety of their future. Technology is an important part of a
childs education and educators all around the world make sure it is a safe and reliable form of
education.
Technology is widely known for the easy and accessible communication it provides. With a
simple click, emails and messages can be sent thousands of miles away. It is known that the
worlds largest network that bring the entire global community together is the Internet
(Shelly,Gunter,Gunter, 2012). In my website, I have included my contact information. I have
provided all of my phone numbers, emails, and business/office hours. This will provided the
students, parents, and educational community to contact me. Additionally, I have added a calendar
in which anyone could see. A calendar is a great way to community with the entire network on
upcoming events and important dates. A resource page is also included for the educational
community. This page will include areas such as important announcements, ways to get involved,
and forums for communication within the community. This website will not only include

communication outside of school but also the students ability to communicate in school with
technology.
Parents, stakeholders, and the educational community may wonder why or how the
student will communicate in the classroom. To begin with, technology should be seen as a tool
(Costley, 2014). An example of how technology can help students communicate is greatly
reflected by our English language learners students (ELL) (Costley, 2014). Technology is a great
form of teaching that catches the mind of our ELL students. Having a catchy pedagogy, will help
our students retain the English and therefore communicating with the rest of the class. Studies
have also shown that technology increases a students collaboration (Costley, 2014). When
students collaborate, it is a very effective tool for learning. This type of activity requires students
to work together to create power points or papers on google docs. This is a great way to
communicate with each other as well. The student benefits from this type of technology
communication because it requires them to read the work. Internet security and safety is highly
thought about but in reality, it is completely safe.
The internet can be very misleading in some ways. Teachers and educators from across
the globe work carefully with internet security when incorporating tools such as the internet and
other tools that require technology (DeFranco, 2011). As teachers, we are inclined to notice
behavior that may negatively affect student productivity. Examples of this include a student
spending a large amount of time on the computer, shutting off the monitor when we pass by, and
becoming withdrawn from a students surroundings (DeFranco, 2011). I will ensure that I set
strict rules for cellphone usage in the classroom as this can become a distraction instead of a
helpful tool. My students will be sure to know not to click on any random link as this can be a
virus. They will be able to identify scams that lead to these viruses. One of the most important
lessons I will give my students is addressing that nothing on the internet is free. My students will

know that if there is a free website, it will be costing them their personal information (DeFranco,
2011). Giving out personal information to internet sites can be very misleading and bring upon
many problems. Internet security and safety will remain the number one priority in my classroom.
Our classrooms will always be progressing with technology to comply with the demands in
the work force. Enforcing the correct internet security and safety will ensure our students success.
Technology is a very important aspect in my students education and I will be sure to make it as
effective and safe as possible. If anybody has any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not
