Mr./Mrs. Human Resources Director:
I am writing to express my interest in the position of School Psychologist for your
district. I would like to highlight my relevant experience and how it may benefit your
district. My experience has included working in the psychometrics library at
California State University, Chico, during my Graduate Program. I was responsible
for maintaining, reviewing, and updating psychological, personality, and cognitivebehavioral assessment kits for the university. I also assisted other psychology
students in analyzing assessments for validity and reliability for specific
populations.

My internship experience included designing, implementing, and presenting whole

class curricula using multi-source evidence-based material to ensure efficacious
social skills training to general and special education students. Self-designed
PowerPoint presentations were also utilized to enhance these lessons. I have
performed, analyzed, and reported on all assessment modalities and I am familiar
with all major cognitive-behavioral, personality, and behavioral assessments. My
experience includes
development and provision of individual and group therapy for diverse groups of
students from multiple sociocultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, with an array
of social-emotional needs. I have performed observations and collaborative

conferences with a variety of educational professionals to create, write, and

implement in-depth behavioral support plans for a diverse group of students, which
resulted in increased performance for all students involved (see attached case
studies).
I have extensive experience as a consultant, member of, and participant in both
Student Success Team and Individualized Education Plan meetings. I am well versed
in working efficiently with a diverse array of educational professionals and families
to achieve optimal student outcomes. My experience is also comprised of successful
conflict resolution activities encompassing students, educational professionals, and
family members in multiple educational settings.
I have extensive training in program evaluation and my professional goal is the
implementation of programs which allow students to perform to optimal standards. I
will strive to ensure delivery of efficacious and efficient educational curricula and
supports, in keeping with best practices for all students. My personal goal is to hold
myself to the highest professional and ethical standards in all professional activities.
