We, the undersigned, are Fourth Year Chemical Engineering students who
have taken the research subject, Methods of Research as one of the course
requirement of our degree program. Our research proposal entitled
Bioconversion of Rice (Oryza Sativa) straw to Ethanol using Alkali Pretreatment and Co-culture Fermentation was approved by the Chemical
Engineering Department Faculty to advance to experimentation.

In line with this, we would like to apply for the undergraduate thesis
assistance offered by your good office to aid the financial requirement of the
set of equipment, reagents, qualitative and quantitative tests which are
necessary for the execution and completion of the experiment. Attached with
this letter are the requirements for the research grant application.
