Provide instruction to a diverse group of students. Develop exciting lesson plans, informative course materials based on
curriculum, and innovative teaching strategies. Motivate students to engage in class discussion, participate in group
projects and peer to peer learning communities that enhance the learning experience. Monitor childrens academic, social,
and physical progress in the classroom, making sure to promote classroom discipline and promote an atmosphere that is
safe and conducive to learning for all 28 students.
Completed the ACSI Teacher Certification workbook, to develop the necessary skills to help students grow
spiritually, academically, and culturally, as it pertains the ACSI qualifications
Developed and maintained a classroom management system that is followed and promoted by the students
Provides daily instruction in a contained classroom setting, covering all subjects from language arts,
arithmetic, social studies, reading, spelling, creative writing, and physical education
Utilized after school tutoring to provide specific instruction to improve student performance in various
subjects
Developed and taught unique, creative lesson plans for Team Sports elective for 4th-6th grade
Routinely communicate with parents to inform on student progress and conferenced with various
parents/guardians to resolve conflict and promote academic progress
**During this time, I also served as the Head JV Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach for the Episcopal School of
Jacksonville Boys Basketball Program. My JV team was 15-12, a 10 win improvement from the previous year**
