Re:

Library Media Program Evaluation

On January 13, 2016, Mrs. Lemons and I evaluated the status of our
school library media program. To rate our program, we used the
Georgia Department of Education 2015 Library Media Program
Evaluation Rubric. The rubric is divided into six (6) categories:
Student Achievement and Instruction; Technology; Staffing;
Facilities, Access, and Resources; Administrative Support; and
Staff Development. Below is a summary of what we discussed and
an action plan for any areas we identified as basic. I have also
included an action plan to move toward exemplary status in the
Flexible Scheduling section of the Facilities, Access, and Resources
category. For the Levels of Proficiency category, B indicates Basic, P
indicates Proficient, and E indicates Exemplary status.
The following tables have summarized the Target Indicators and our
ratings and action steps. Please refer to the GA DOE 2015 Library
Media Program Evaluation Rubric for a complete description of each
category and level of proficiency.
