The Role play activity

Activity name : who I am.


The type of the activity : short circle time activity.
Theme : the animals.

The learning outcomes:


Identify animals and its shapes and colors.
Develop students description skills.
Discover the world.

Description :
Who I am activity is a role play activity. In this activity each students will close their eyes and
they will choose one animal in the box and they will put it behind them to make another
students cant see it. After that the teacher will ask each student to ask his classmate about
the animal (dive them hints) to make them guess what is an animal that he have.
I choose this activity because it will make students identify some animals and its shapes and
colors. Also, it will make students how to describe things. Teacher can use this activity for
animals theme.

The development domains :


This activity will develop students cognitive skills when they describe the animals also when
they think and guess the animal that their classmate have. This acti vity will develop students
language skills because they will gain new vocabulary such as: (huge, small, short, tall, colors
and shapesetc.) when they describe the animals. In addition, this activity will develop
students social and emotional skills when they describe and guess the animals.

he will say: I have brown animal, it live in forest and it have long
hair in its head.

Extension Ideas:
Teacher can use puppets instead of picture in sticks.

Activity name : Flight crew
The type of the activity : role play activity.
(Act the one career)

Theme : the careers.

The learning outcomes:


Identify one kind of transportation.
Identify one career.
Discover the world.

Description:
The flight crew activity is a role play activity. In this activity the students will put the chairs in
three line to act they are in plane. They will divide to three group on group will be the pilots
and the second group is the air host and the third group will be the passenger.
I choose this activity because it will make students identify one kind of transportation and
identify the career. Teacher can use this activity in she have the career theme or
transportation theme. Also, if the school have transportation week.

The development domains :


This activity will develop students cognitive skills because they will identify one kind of
transportation and identify the career in the plane. This activity will develop students
language skills because they will gain new vocabulary such as: (plane, pilot, air host and
passenger.). This activity will develop students physical skills when they use their fine and
gross motor to act. In addition, this activity will develop students social and emotional skills
when they act about the career together.

Theory:
This activity apply different theories. According to the psychology scientist Piaget who believe
the children learn through use materials.
This activity for special needs students because this activity is easy for them. They will
choose the group they want and act with their classmate.

that represent the careers.

Description:
The very hungry caterpillar activity is a role play activity. In this activity the students will
listen to the teacher when she read the story then the teacher will ask each student to act
one part of the story by use different materials.
I choose this activity because it will make students identify the weekdays and the types of
fruits and enhance childrens mathematical skills. Also, it develop cognitive learning and
recognize the stage of animals evaluation. Teacher can use this activity if she have a lesson
about the stages of evaluation.

evaluation and identify the weekdays and the types of fruits. This activity will develop
students language skills because they will gain new vocabulary such as: (the name of the
stages of caterpillar evaluation and the name of weekdays and the types of fruits). This
activity will develop students physical skills when they use their fine and gross motor to act.
In addition, this activity will develop students social and emotional skills when the student
act the part of the story for classmate.

One Sunday morning the warm sun came up and pop! Out of the
egg came a tiny and very hungry caterpillar. He started to look for
some food. On Monday he ate through on e apple. But he was still
hungry

On Tuesday he ate through two pears, but he was still hungry. On


Wednesday he ate through three plums, but he was still hungry.
On Friday he ate through five oranges, but he was still hungry. On
Saturday he ate through (cake, ice-creametc.)
She will ask one student to act the second part of story.

The next day was Sunday again. The caterpillar ate through one
nice green leaf, and after that he felt much better. Now he wasnt
hungry anymore- and he wasnt a little caterpillar any more. He
was a big, fat caterpillar

He built a small house, called a cocoon, around himself. He stayed
inside for more than two weeks. Then he nibbled a hole in the
cocoon, pushed his way out He was a beautiful butterfly!
