Leader: Lucina Hallagan,

Director of Lay Servant Ministries, Finger Lakes District

Lucina has a degree in Human Resources Management from RIT. She currently works as H.R.
Manager at Hallagan Furniture. She has been a Lay Servant since 1991 and the Director of Lay
Servant Ministries in the Finger Lakes District since 2012. Lucina has been a member of Newark
First UMC her entire life and has faithfully served as Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader, Mission
Trip Coordinator, CE Director, Small Group Leader and now as Media Ministry Director. She uses
Acts 20:24 as an anchor scripture for her life: What matters most to me is to finish what God
started: the job the Master Jesus gave me of letting everyone I meet know all about this incredibly
extravagant generosity of God. The Message
Equipping disciples that is what being a Lay Servant is all about.
