Describe and list the tasks you did last week. Provide details.
I wrote content (weekly Facebook post advertisements) for local businesses such as Morsen Cogen and
Altomontes Bakery for the few weeks for Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Also, I wrote my first blog advertisement
for a house building business on why to build instead of buy a former existing home.

What new knowledge or skill did you learn on the internship last week? Describe in detail.
_____I learned that most businesses that we follow on social media are usually not even the one in control of their
postings. They hire marketing businesses, like Be-Marketing and have them do the advertising and posting for
them. I also learned that social media advertising has a lot more work go into it than I could have imagined, and a
lot of local, small businesses depend on it.

3. What have you learned in high school that you applied on the internship?
I used my writing and grammar skills to come up with posts for the businesses. I also took a lot from my
entrepreneurial class I took last semester and used a lot of language I found appealing in the business world
through that.

4. List any difficulties, mistakes, pleasant or unpleasant experiences that occurred last week. What did you do to
correct your mistake(s)?
When I first starting writing the content for the social media, I was going at a very slow pace because I second
guessed myself a lot, and found it hard to think of things to write about. To fix the problem, I went onto each
businesses website and other advertising pages and found the things they had going on that week, special meals and
deals I could post about, and even just facts about their business that could be appealing to customers.

5. On what skill or question could you use help in performing your internship
responsibilities better?
I could use time management skills more in pacing my work to get more done throughout my time at my internship.

6. What interesting or challenging experience did you have with your fellow workers or site
supervisor? Describe.
In meetings with clients and other co-workers at the business, I saw that some clients are a lot harder to work
with than others. I saw that part of the job can be extremely difficult and you cant just give up.
