A House Called Home

Thank you for purchasing the Lets Build: A Plant Cell Anchor Chart le. This plant cell anchor chart will help
your students idenAfy the 10 main organelles that make up a plant cell.

The organelles included are:
*cell wall
*chloroplast
*cell membrane
*ribosome
*cytoplasm
*mitochondria
*nucleus
*endoplasmic reAculum
*vacuole
*Golgi body

This le includes a picture, name tag and funcAon tag for each of the ten organelles (both in color and black &
white). I use this anchor chart one of two ways. I either explain and walk through the parts as a class or I divide
the students into groups (5 or 10 groups work best). Each group gets 1 or 2 organelle pictures. They must
discover which organelle they have and what its funcAon is. I put the name tags and funcAon tags in the front of
the room and when the group thinks they know, they come up and grab their tags. Once all tags have been
correctly claimed, the groups color their organelles and tags all the same color and place them on the anchor
chart.

This le includes the color and black & white version of this anchor chart. It also includes a completed cell if you
would prefer to name the organelles and their funcAons without having to place them on the chart.
Please email me at ahousecalledhome@gmail.com if you have any quesAons about this product.

Thank you,

Some addiAonal Aps:

*For use year a[er year, I laminate the
pieces and keep them in a large manila
envelope.

*Building the anchor chart together gives
each student their own copy of the chart
they can take home and study from - I build
the large one up front and the students
build the smaller version at their desks.

*Arrows have been provided for both the
color and black & white versions of this
product, but I usually draw my own arrows
using a wet erase marker. This allows me to
wipe it o my laminated set.

*A completed anchor chart is included at
the end of the le for students who were
absent, need a hard copy of materials or if
you like to keep a binder of anchor charts
available for student reference.

A free student version of this acAvity (Lets Build: A Plant Cell) is available at my store.
