AFFIDAVIT OF WITNESS
I, JUAN DELA CRUZ, of legal age, married, resident of 43 Minus St. Brgy.
Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City, after having sworn in accordance with law, do
hereby depose and state THAT:
1. I am an Employee of Department Interior and Local Government.

2. On December 23, 2015, I attended the Christmas Party of the employees of the
City Hall of Mandaluyong which was held within the halls of the City Hall.
3. I was seated beside Rosalinda Ramos the City Treasurer of Mandaluyong. We
had a discussion about the current news among the politicians ( Sen. Enrile,
Sen. Revilla, Sen. Estrada, etc) involved in government fund scandals. During
the course of our discussion, Rosalinda Ramos mentioned, GRABE NA
TALAGA!, ANG MGA POLITICIAN NGAUN MGA CORRUPT NA. TIGNAN
MO GINAGAWA, SILA NA NAGNANAKAW SA KABAN NG BAYAN.(This
is too much! The politicians nowadays are the one who steal money from the
funds of the Government). The statements she uttered was made during the
speech of Mayor Marimar Dela Cruz.
4. The statements of the City Treasurer which is connected to our discussion

was mistakenly thought to have been directed to Mayor Marimar Dela Cruz
by the City Hall employees who were seated behind us during the delivery of
her speech. The statements were taken out of context. It did not specifically
mention or identify the person of the corrupt politician. The statements were
just made out of her honest point of view on the issues of the National
Government at hand.
5. I executed this affidavit to attest the truthfulness of the foregoing facts and to
deny the allegations of the Criminal Complaint filed against ROSALINDA
RAMOS for GRAVE ORAL DEFAMATION of Article 353 in relation to Article
358 of the Revised Penal Code.
