Students will learn a Russian/German Folk Dance


Students will learn/revisit simple numbers/words in Spanish.
Students will learn to follow and mirror sequence/steps, in rhythm.

Activities/Procedure

Students start scattered, walking around, and face a partner when it is time to
start the movement.
Movements:
Shake finger at partner as you say, Sasha, Shasha, 1, 2, 3

Formation

*The scolding will be done first in English to aid learning, then the language
will be changed to Spanish (uno, dos, tres).

Scattered partners (changing


throughout): circle and face to face at
certain points in the song.

Partners clap right hands three times, left hands three times, both hands three
times, and clap their hands to their legs three times (TWICE).
Left elbow swing with seven steps, on the last yell, Hey! while throwing left
hand in the air.
Right elbow swing with seven steps, on the last yell, Hey! while throwing
right hand up in the air.
Wave to partner while saying Goodbye and walk around the room alone
and randomly until it is time to start again with the chant.
*Goodbye will change to Adios in the second time through.
Repeat!
