The article that I read was SAMSUNG LOOKS TO EXPAND VR OUTSIDE OF SMARTPHONES
(Mu-hyun, 2016). The article reveals that as far back as 2014, Samsung has been
working with Facebook owned VR firm Oculus. That year VR tech was used with the
Note 4. Just last year in South Korea it released Samsung Gear VR in November and
in December, it released a beta web browser for the device. "If the opportunity
presents itself, we may expand it to other areas, besides just increasing
smartphone competitiveness." said Koo Yun-Mo of Samsung's mobile division at a
press briefing in Seoul. In the article he went on to explain the benefits of VR
technology and its practical applications in business and education as well as
treatment for acrophobia (extreme or irrational fear of heights). The VR technology
will be on the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones. New information on VR
will be revealed at the MWC in Barcelona on February 21 along with free VR Gear to
those who pre ordered the phone. The gear is used together with Samsung's
flagship S and Note series.
The key words used for this search are: zdnet.com mobile technology article 2016. I
ran the search on Google and Bing. Bing gave me 51,800,000 results while Google
gave me about 579,000 results. It seems that Google gave me articles about more
specific to what I was searching while Bing just gave me everything they could find
on mobile technology with the first two results being from ZDNet and the rest from
other sites. It is for this reason that I would flip-flop. If I was looking up something
specific I would use Google. However if I was looking up just mobile tech from any
site I would probably go with Bing.

INTERNET OF THINGS, VIRTUAL REALITY, PHONES AND MORE: WHAT TO EXPECT AT
MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS 2016
This article was written of February 15, 2016 and it hasnt been
updated. It is very relevant to my topic in fact this article actually
mentions the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones. The author is
Danny Palmer. Mr. Palmer is Senior Reporter at CBS Interactive, Staf
Writer for Incisive Media, and he is the Online Content Editor for
Train2Game. This article is trustworthy because there are several articles
on this topic and this is a world event that happens every year in
February. This unbiased article was written to inform the audience of the
upcoming items to be seen at MWC in Barcelona. It was fact driven and
neutral even when mentioning this years absence of Apple.
#5 Scholarly Journals
For this portion I used the key words: Mobile Technology 2016. The two
articles I found are both from Science Direct. This database was a
coincidence I looked for titles matching my search and both articles
happen to be from Science Direct, but when I clicked on the Mobile
technology & resident attitude research, the database suddenly
changed to Academic OneFile.
Between the internet article: Samsung looks to expand VR outside of
smartphones and the Journal article: Renewable and Sustainable
Energy Reviews, Im going to say the internet article is the better choice. When I
looked for my key words it was very hard to find something that matches. When I
found an article that fit the title it was from years ago when I specifically put 2016 in
the search. As far timeliness goes, the internet article wins again because the article
I needed popped up as the first or second result. When it comes to authority, I
would think that the scholarly journal would be the instant choice, because usually if
its in a Journal the credentials have been checked. With the internet article you
have to take the time to check the credentials yourself.
