There are three main types of learning style which are auditory learner, visual
learner and tactile learner. Sternberg, (2008) cited in Hatami, (2012) the learning
style is a preferred way of using ones abilities, but it is not in itself an ability.
According to Keefe (1988), learning styles can define as a characteristic cognitive,
affective, affective and psychological behaviours that serve as relativity stable
indicators of how learner perceive, interact with and respond to the learning
environment. Students must have the interest to study the material they interested and
use difference methods to present and remember the information. Therefore, students
can catch up faster if they learn with a correct learning style.
According to Gilakjani, (2012), visual learners like to learn with thinking of
pictures, taking note, and studying body language to help with understanding. Mills
et al (2010) cited in (Ozbas, 2008), auditory learners like to learn through hearing,
verbal and written materials. According to Harris, Harris & Diamond (2001), tactile
learner like to by touching and manipulate objects.
According to Learning Style Inventory Test (2016.) (Refer to Diagram 13 , I
am an auditory learner. I scored 30 mark for auditory study, 26 mark for visual and
24 mark for tactile learning. As a result, I was suitable for these three types of
learning style due to I scored high mark for it. As a auditory learner, I like to use
tapes to record what lecturer said and take notes for review (Learning Style Inventory
Test, 2016). I have a good ability of listen in classroom and I like to read something
aloud and summarize it (Learning Style Inventory Test, 2016.). I also like to having a
group discussing and learn from each other. Sometime I am very difficult to
memorize thing in heart, I would rather repeat words aloud for memorization.
Moreover, I like to debate, because I felt that it was a ways for us to exchange our
ideas.
2.3Action Plan
After identified my learning style, I realize that I have to take some action to
sharp up my learning style. My action plan for improve my visual learning style is to
read encyclopaedia and watch Youtube, then put all the information into mind map or
diagram to simplified my learning process. I am a person who like to watch movie,
so I believe that by doing this method, I can remember things easily. Besides, I am
going to make flashcard and highlight the important information for my reading with
difference color highlight pen. Lastly, I would think of the topic before study and
outline the reading to make sure I can understand it easily .
Furthermore, I am going to practice to transfer the information I learned from
text and note to computer by typing because tactile learner will more easy to
remember things with physical activity (Gilakjani, 2012). I am going to learn from
experience and doing thing such as go to place I never go, to experience the
difference culture and life of people. Lastly, I would like to take note with computer
by written it out to strengthen my memorize. I believe that my action plan are able to
improve the other two learning styles so that I can be fast learner and memorize
things faster. If I can get to improve it, I believe that it will helps me to get a better
result.
3.0 SWOT Analysis (Refer to Diagram 17)
3.1 Strengths
Most of the people miss their success opportunity due to they do not know their
strengths and weaknesses. However, I do not want to be one of them. I like to do the
things that people do not do. I believe that the bigger challenging, the more benefit
will create. Besides, I did a Hollands Career Interest RIASEC Personality Test to
examine my strength and weakness. Hollands test is accepted in psychology and
recognized by personality research in pass years ago. Osipow, (1973); Watkins,
Bradford, lew & Himmel, (1986) cited in Schinka, Dye & Curtiss (1997) explain that
Hollands theory is one of the most influence career theories and occupational

5.0 Conclusion
I would like to conclude that I have know more myself from this assignment. I know
my personality and I have to set a short, medium and long term goal to myself. Besides, I
understand the learning styles that helps me to deliver material I learn. I also provide an
action plan to improve my learning style. Moreover, I have to analyze my weaknesses
and strengths. I also do some research for my dream job in Jobstreet.com and its
requirement and to identify the gap. By identify the gap, I have to find take some action
plan to close the requirement gap. However, I learn more in this assignment is to do a
reflection to myself. Reflection can make me to improve myself in my personality and
strength and weaknesses. So, I personally agreed that everyone have to do reflection
report. Especially, we can do it by everyday to reflect what you had learn in a day and to
do some correction and improve to ourselves. I also suggest that college students can do
the reflection for every semester to reflect their goals and knowledge or skills they learn.
