Stump A Grown Up: In the book of Matthew Jesus teaches
the disciples by telling them a number of blessings that will
come to people who are meek, who mourn, are pure in heart,
etc. What do we call that series of blessings?

Coming next week we learn about a series of blessings
that Jesus told the disciples in the Sermon on the Mount.
Those blessings are called The Beatitudes. Beatitude
means “blessed” or “happy”. The promises made in The
Beatitudes are not for earthly rewards but for rewards in
Heaven for those who live a Christian life.
