Dear Parents/Caregivers,

My name is Julia Mastripolito and I am a pre-service teacher who will be completing my first
and second placement blocks in class 305. I was introduced to class 305 on Friday the 29 th
of May where I was warmly welcomed by your children and their teacher Miss Tsaousoglou
and I would like to take this opportunity introduce myself to you through this letter.
I am currently in my first year studying my Masters of Teaching at UniSA, after completing a
Bachelor of Psychological Science in 2014. It was during my undergraduate degree that I
found my passion lies with educating children to positively affect their lives.
At present, I work at Annesley Junior School as the OSHC coordinator where I have gained a
lot of experience working in a school environment, assisting students with their homework
and creating fun and exciting activities for them to enjoy.
During this first placement I will be doing a lot of observation as well as assisting and
supporting Miss Tsaousoglou with lessons and hopefully running some group activities with
students. In late August I will be returning to Greenwith Primary School for a month to
complete my second placement.
So far I have enjoyed my time at Greenwith Primary School and know that I will be able to
learn a lot during my time here. I am very much looking forward to getting to know you and
your children over the coming weeks and starting my teaching journey at Greenwith.
