    1. OpenRhino4.0andgotofile.andopenyourfile.

    2. Selecttherectangleboxandcreatea32x18rectangleborderbox

    3. MakesurethatyouhavetheSnapandOrthotoolbarsselectedbeforeyoustartdrawing
    yourrectangleinordertokeepthingssimple.

    4. OnceyouselecttheRectangletoolbar,placeyourcursorwherethegreenxaxisandredy
    axismeettogether.Clickandtype32goinginthehorizontaldirection,thenclickagainand
    type18goingintheverticaldirection.

    5. Highlightyourrectangleborderboxandlooktotherightandgotoproperties.finddisplay
    Colorandselectwhiteasyourcolorforyourborder..
    (NOTE:YOURBORDERBOXlayershouldturnerbeOFF!!OtherwisePharoswillreadthat
    line!)

    6. IfyouhaveyourfilealreadycreatedinaRhino4.0,selectyourdrawingandplaceitwithin
    therectangleborderbox..

    7. Selecttheappropriatecolorschemeforyourobjectsbasedonwhatyouwanttoeithercut
    orscore.(SN:Beverycriticalonselectingyourcolorinordertocutorscoreexactlyhowyou
    wantit.)
    (UsualcolorsthatareselectedforobjectsareRED,CYANorYELLOW.Besureyouknow
    howyouwanttosetupyourcolorsbeforeattemptingtocut.)

    8. Highlightallofyour2Dobjects,gototheleftandlookforprintwidthandselecthairlinein
    ordertohaveyourobjectscutappropriatelyinthelasercuttingmachine.
    (NOTE:YOURBORDERBOXlayershouldturnerbeOFF!!OtherwisePharoswillreadthat
    line!)


    9. Onceyouhavethosepresettingsprepared..gotofile.andprint.

    10. InthePrintSetup,makesureyoucarefullygothrougheverysectionontheleftinorderto
    makesureyourlasercutsettingsareappropriatelyaccurate.

    IntheDestinationbox,makesureselecttheVLS6.60andselectvectoroutput&Display
    color

    11. IntheViewandOutputScalebox,makesurethatyourviewisselectedtoTopand
    Windowyourscaleshouldbesetat1:1scaleinINCHES.
    (SN:ifyouhaveyourscalealreadysetinyourprojectfilebeforeyoupreparetocut,make
    surethatitisthecorrectscalethatwillfitwithinthe32x18borderbox)

    12. IntheMargins&Positionboxandbesurethateverymarginissetto0.0..youdonot
    needtoadjustthis.Alsomakesurethatyouhavethepositioniconcheckmarkedat
    Centered.

    13. IntheLinetypesandLineWidthssection,makesurethatyouselectMatchPattern
    definitionunderLinetypes.yourlinewidthshouldbescaledat1.0andyourdefaultline
    widthshouldbeselectedashairlineinmm.
    UnderNonScalingobjects,youshouldhave:
    Pointobjectat0.5mmArrowheadsizeat2.0mmTextdotfontsizeat10pt.

    14. IntheVisibilitybox,makesureyoudonotselectanythinginthatsection.nothingshould
    becheckmarked.

    15. AfteryoucheckedallthesectionstotheleftgobacktoDestinationandselectproperties.

    16. Setthecolorsaccordingtoyourdesiredvectorcutsorrasteredobjects.Setsettingsfor
    colorsinthiswindowbeforemovingtoUCP.Ifnot,thecolorswillnothavetheoptiontobe
    changedfromvectortorasterorviceversa,leavingtheonlyoptionavailableasskip.

    MakesureyouadjustyourappropriatePower,Speed,PPIandZaxis

    (SN:DonotusetheMaterialsDatabaseortheRastersection)
    Ifyouneedto,saveyoursettingstoanappropriatelocation.

    1. VeryIMPORTANT:
    YouneedtosetupthespecificlengthandwidthofyourmaterialintheEngravingField
    settings.SelectInchesunderUnitsandtypethelengthandwidthunderEngravingField.
    WhenfinishedpressSet.

    WhenyouhavefinishedyourEngravingFieldsettingsDONOTtouchanythingunder
    RASTERorVECTOR..thenpressOK.

    17. Onceyouredonewithyoursettings,pressok

    18. Onceyouhaveselectedprint,gotoStartPharosonthedesktopscreeninordertoopenthe
    lasercutterprogram


    NOTE:ThePharosscreenshouldappeartotheLEFTmonitor

    NOTE:ifthePharosscreenappearsontherightmonitorabovethedesktopcomputer,simply
    holddownonthekeyboard(Ctrl+Alt+Leftarrow)

    19. SwipeyourCardacrossthecardreaderandselectyourfilethatislistedonPharosand
    pressPRINT.
    (YOUHAVETOPAYFORYOURPRINTFIRSTBEFOREYOUOPENUCP!)

    20. Onceyouhaveselectedprint,gotoUCPonthedesktopscreeninordertoopenthe
    lasercutterprogram

    21. OnceUCPopens.checktomakesurethelasercutteristurnedon.Beforeyou
    begincuttingyouhavetomakesurethatyoucorrectlyfocusthelasermachine.
    SelectFocusView

    Onceyouselectfocusview,movethecrosshairsoveryourmaterialandhitthe
    mousebuttonandthelaserheadwillmovetothatpoint.

    22. Takethefocustoolandsetitonyourmaterialinfrontofthelaserhead,andusethe
    Zarrowbuttons(upordown)onthemachineinterface,raiseorlowerthebedso
    thatthefocustoolnestlesintothelaserhead.Makesureyouhavethefocustool
    nestledintotheindentofthefrontofthelaserhead.
    Example:

    23. Makesureyouputthefocustoolawayandclosethelid

    CLOSETHELID!

    24. Onceyouhavethelidclose,checktoseethateverythingisokandthegreenplay
    buttonwillappear.pressthebuttonandthemachinewillbeginlasercuttingyour
    fileandmaterial.

    25. Afteryourfileisdonecutting,allowthefumestoevacuatefor30secondsbefore
    openingthelid,andthenopenthelasercuttermachine.Makesurethatyouclean
    upalltheleftovermaterialsinthelasercuttermachine.Cleanupafteryourself.
