INSTALLATION GUIDE

Introduction

JOISTS are as important as the deck itself. These are the foundation and structure of
the future flooring. Track joists must be properly levelled and laid out on the floor every
30 cm or 40cm depending on the boards supplied lengths.

DISPOSITION OF THE MAGNET CLIPS: Best way to position the magnet clips on

the board is to turn it upside down on top of the joists and align magnets according
to joists spacing.
Two magnets are always placed at the beginning of the board on the grooved short
end side. From there we can continue with double magnets or zig zag. That can be
seen in this guides general fitting illustration.
When all magnets are correctly aligned, turn the board to its final position and press
down until the magnet CLICK sounds.

Spacer & Blocking Spacer

SPACERS: for outdoor surfaces spacers are placed between boards to allow a 4mm
gap necessary for water drainage and air circulation.
BLOCKING SPACER: these items perform the same function as regular spacers with

the additional feature of blocking the boards and avoid longitudinal moves (mainly
caused by mechanical tension). Blocking spacers can be placed on the first board of
every row and during the installation, at intervals of each 10 running meters.

SPACERS: will have to be placed at both short ends of each board and at the middle if

the board is 1500mm long or more

Magnets in Short Ends

Short end connections should always be installed as shown in both illustrations. Magnets
must be placed on the grooved short end side. First connect the tongue and groove and
press down until these are laying on top of a joist.
This installation set up is suitable since wood has an insignificant lengthwise expansion and
contraction.
