ABSTRACT
This paper is talking about heroin, its effects, and its history
and about the drug in general. I am going to explain the specific
things about heroin. How was it made and when was it discovered
and who discovered it. And what is purpose of this drug (heroin).
And worldly and Palestinian presence. And the drugs effect on
human body.
INTRODUCTION
This drug was presented and invented in Germany. It was got
by trading to the U.S. it was first non-addictive it was a substance
of morphine. Since that time doctors knew that heroin was an
addicted drug. Heroin was sold legally in the U.S. till 1920s.

Purpose of the drug

At first heroin was a legal drug then it was used to cure people
but instead of curing it would make people addicted to it. So the
main purpose of it was to cure then now the main purpose is the
way for addicting.4

Side Effects of the Drug

Short side effects
High, slow breathing, vomiting, calm and sleepy, body
temperature lower than normal, coma or death to overdue
people. 5
Long term effects
Bad teeth, Inflammation of the gums, Constipation, Cold sweats
,Itching, Weakening of the immune system, Coma, Respiratory
(breathing) illnesses, Muscular weakness, partial paralysis,
Reduced sexual capacity and long-term impotence in men,
Menstrual disturbance in women ,Inability to achieve orgasm
(women and men), Loss of memory and intellectual performance,
Introversion, Depression, Pustules on the face. 6
Presence in the World

Presence in Palestine
Heroin is present in Palestine and overall in eastern Jerusalem in
Jerusalem 6,000 people.8 But not like other nearby countries
Palestine had no connections with drug trade until suddenly it
came to Palestine from nowhere and that was astonishing. 75
percent of the youth had people to go in Jerusalem because of
heroin and that they need more heroin and they wanted to get
more and more heroin and people became addicted to it. 9
