To Whom It May Concern:

International Service Learning (ISL) is a humanitarian organization that offers participating
volunteers the unique opportunity to be part of an international team providing first-hand health
and service work while interacting with a different culture on a person-to-person level. Our goal
is that the volunteers learn about and become more sensitive to the reality other human beings
face in other parts of the world. To that end, we provide an immersive experience with the aim of
bringing positive change to everyone involved.
This letter is to inform you that Cameron Kahn was a member of a team of volunteers who
participated in a Global Health service learning program with ISL in Nicaragua. The team
received special training seminars and began a program of caregiving to the poor and
underserved. The participation in this program involved shadowing and assisting a licensed
professional in service work under very challenging circumstances.
The energy and time that Cameron gave to this cause speaks volumes about Cameron's character,
sense of service, and personal integrity. Cameron displayed a clear ability to manage the hard
work and service tasks given, even seeking and handling additional responsibilities. The
compassion that Cameron displayed for those served was received with gratitude.
Cameron's team travel dates were from March 5, 2016 to March 13, 2016. Cameron participated
in 48 hours of training/clinical work and cultural involvement. We appreciate the many
volunteers who join our teams to bring hope and care to those who, because of their
circumstances, do not have access otherwise to resources ISL's volunteers provide.
