    Group theory.

    A Set G together with a binary operation * is called a group if


    1. For all a,b in G, a*b is in G.
    2. (a*b)*c=a*(b*c) for all a,b,c in G.
    3. There exists an identity element e in G such that a*e=e*a=a for all a in G.
    4. For each a in G there exists an inverse element a' in G such that a*a'=a'*a=e
    .
