Our Mission is to be a
Spirit-filled community
of love, challenging
people to proclaim the
good news of Christs
salvation to the world.
We seek to foster and
promote a life pleasing
to God through prayer
and Sacramental
ministry. We are called
to nurture spiritual
growth, build our lives
on Gospel values and to
reach out to the poor
and hurting.

CD of the Week
Matthew Kelly has inspired
millions with the message that
there is genius in Catholicism,
but if the Church is to avoid
falling into obscurity, individual
Catholics must demonstrate its
relevance through a dedication to
becoming the best version of
themselves. Matthew gives practical guidance in two
dynamic talks on ways that we can change our habits to
change our lives... and awaken the sleeping giant that is the
Church. This CD and others are available at the Kiosk in
the church entrance.
Join us...
in celebrating the 99th anniversary of Our Blessed Mothers
first visit to the children of Fatima by consecrating yourself
to Mary this coming May 13. In past years, many of our
parishioners, including our Pastor Father Pat, have
participated in a self-guided 33 day retreat to prepare
themselves for Consecration to the Blessed Virgin Mary. We
are offering this retreat again this year. To participate, simply
buy the book 33 Days to Morning Glory which is available
at our Kiosk after Mass for a donation, or at Amazon.com for
$10. We will begin the retreat portion on April 10th and
conclude with our consecration either privately or at
the 7:30am Mass on May 13, so you have time to procure
your book. The retreat itself is spelled out in the book.
It consists of very short daily readings where the author,
Father Michael Gaitley, will introduce us to four saints that
were all consecrated to Mary: St. Louis de Montfort, St.
Maximilian Kolbe, Mother Theresa, and Pope John Paul II
whose apostolic motto was Toto Tuus, an indication of his
complete consecration of himself and his Papacy to Mary.
On March 25, 1984 Pope John Paul II united with all the
pastors of the Church consecrated the world to Mary, so in a
certain sense, you are already consecrated to her. This is your
chance to personally affirm that consecration to her so that
you may contribute to her work. Remember that she said, In
the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph you can be
part of that mission. If you wish to participate or have any
questions, please contact Fred Ganssle
at gansslef@yahoo.com.

The Pinedale area, a very short drive from Holy Spirit Church,
has many families that face financial challenges on a day to
day basis. In addition to assisting individuals that live in
Pinedale with PG&E bills and other needs, your Parish
Outreach Committee provides financial support to
organizations such as Pinedale Good Neighbor Food Pantry
and Pinedale Community Fellowship totaling over $9,000
annually. Holy Spirit parishioners generous donations ensure
that all Pinedale children have school uniforms and access to
hot lunches every day. As a result, they have the same opportunities to excel in school as children in more privileged areas.
Thank you for your continued support of those less fortunate,
especially those so close by in our local community.
