Region of electromagnetic Spectrum:

When the different types of electromagnetic radiations are arranged in order of their
increasing wavelengths or decreasing frequencies, the complete arrangement is
called
Electromagnetic Spectrum.
The regions into which the electromagnetic radiation have been classified is on the basis
of their sources and detectors required. These limits are given in Table 3.1. the different
radiations differ in their physical and chemical effects because they posses different energies
(the energy of a photon being E = hv = hc v where v represents the wave number).
