Security at the workplace

Whenever thinking in security at the workplace, the first word that comes to our
minds is threats, which come from anyone that has physical or electronic access
to the company. This includes contractors, security guards, members of the public,
clients, as well as employees and their friends and family.
Workplace safety stands for all the working conditions at the company that can
affect the workers health and welfare. These include procedures that have to be
followed in order to protect employees from work-related hazards, and how
violence can be handled in the site. Workplace security, otherwise, stands for all
the organizations policies and preparation to avoid or handle situations such as
unlawful entries, theft, kidnappings and fire breakouts. There are ways to improve
safety and security inside an organization, which in turn will enhance creativity and
increase production.
It's impossible to prevent accidents completely. This notion makes clearly
important that the workplace is able to properly handle an accident, should one
occur. First aid kits should not be missing, and they have to be placed in highly
communal locations throughout the workplace. First aid kits should be serviced
regularly by trained persons who are educated in their contents. Another
recommendation is to do a regular maintenance inside the building, preparing a
report which allows to know basic requests for review.

Every company needs to have a security policy in order to keep employees,

equipment and goods secure and safe. Having the right security measures can
prevent and discourage outsiders to enter the company without permission.
