LINK TO LITERACY TUTORS: Link to Literacy is a nonprofit, library-based,

volunteer-run organization devoted to enabling adults who have joined us from other
cultures to read, write, and speak American English more effectively. Tutors are
trained by the Link to Literacy Coordinator and matched with a student. Students
meet with their assigned tutors one to two hours a week at the Library. For more

LOWELL COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER: Seeks volunteers to spend time

S.O.S. 4 PAWS: S.O.S. 4 Paws is an animal advocacy group in Lowell that takes in

TEACHER AIDES: The Tsongas Industrial History Center, Lowell, seeks museum
teacher aides and National Park Rangers for the presentation of education programs.
Aides help students learn and perform hands-on skills such as weaving and adjusting
looms, model canals and experimenting with water wheels. Candidates must have an
associate's degree or more in education and able to work with grades 4-8. Must be
available to work a minimum of one 4-hour day per week, 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
