The Creative Process
Everyone uses the creative process somehow, even scientists and
mathematical. What do they use? For scientists, they use three areas of their
creative process of the brain. Such as, the attentional control network, the
imagination network, and the attentional flexibility network. For
mathematical, they use knowledge, collaboration, computers, selfexploration, rest, and state of mind. Which side of the brain do they use?
Both mathematical and scientists use both side of the brain.
Now, you are probably thinking, why do scientists use the creative
process? The reason for the attentional network is to help them with laser
focus on a particular task. The reason for the imagination network is to
imagine future scenarios and remembering things that happened in the past.
Lastly, the reason for the attentional flexibility network is to monitor brains,
and switch between the first two areas for them.
You might also be thinking, why do mathematical also use the creative
process? For the mathematical, it has twice as many things as used for the
creative process. First, they use knowledge for the right balance of depth
versus breadth for mathematical, to continue learning, and to learn the art of
making connections to disparate areas of mathematics. Second, they use

collaboration to communicate with others either through technology or just

simple face to face conversations. Third, they use computers for several
purposes. They use it to perform vote calculations, inspired the development
of algorithms, and resurrected dormant areas, visualization, and allowed
automated symbolic exploration. Fourth, they use self-exploration because it
is important to collect information about your interests, abilities and skills,
values, personality, and career and readiness. It is helpful for the
mathematical to find their creative side when using self-exploration. Fifth,
they use rest, which includes appropriate nights sleep, power naps, exercise,
and many more. This used to relied themselves from using their brain for the
whole day and calm their mind even though their brain is still used when
resting. Lastly, the state of mind. This is the ideal mental state of balance
between being skilled and being challenged
For experience, I would say I use the creative process for art. I think
that the creative process is mainly from art. Art is a creative skill that
includes you expressing yourself through drawing, painting, writing, etc. I
also use the creative process for science and math but I am not a scientist
nor a mathematical. For science, I am usually writing and working, learning
new things about many things in life that I did not know about. I did not
usually think about the creative process and if I actually was using it but now
that I think about it, I am mostly using it. Maybe not like scientist but close to
them. For math, it is mostly the same writing and making our brains work. Or

as my past teacher said, Lofthing weights for your brain. But one difference
is that my thinking is differently from art, science, math, etc.
I conclusion, we all have our creative process in life . even scientists
and mathematical. Whether it is similar or different, we all have these kinds
of thinking. You do not have to be a professional to be able to use the
creative processor any kinds of process. We mainly think differently but in a
way, it is similar. What is your creative process?
