Time

Motivation and Introduction:

1. Students are to get into their groups that previously formed, and log
into their computers.

Resources/References
Align these with the
segment where they will
be introduced.

2. Students get up all information related to business on their computer.

Lesson Steps (Lesson content, structure, strategies & Key Questions):
3. Students are to research the prices of competitors products, and
come up with their own prices for three (3) different types of products
they wish to sell (e.g. a low-budget, mid-range-budget, and highbudget products).
4. Students must work out how much they will be paying for each
product from a competitor, and then work out how much they will be
making from these products based off the prices they have come up
with.
5. When students have come up with their own prices, must apply the 3
scenarios to each of their prices to see what is the best for their
business to sell (Scenarios have already been produced by teacher
on the Webquest).
6. Students must then work out the profit that each type of product made
their business (formula: Profit = Money received Cost of product)
7. Based on their findings on prices, students must work out what kind of
products are best for their business (that makes them the most profit)
Lesson Closure:(Review lesson objectives with students)
8. Once students have decided which products are best for their
company, they must start thinking about a flyer design for their
product, and start thinking of best way to present the business idea to
the rest of the class. (Google docs?)
9. Students must then review the decision for their products to be sold,
and record data for how much profit will be made.
Transition: (What needs to happen prior to the next lesson?)
10. Students must start designing their flyers (on paper only as draft), and
come to next lesson with a design idea that the group will then use for
ideas.
Assessment: (Were the lesson objectives met? How will these be judged?)
