Schema theory
Schema theory is concerned with knowledge of the non linguistic

Genre theory
Genre theory attempt to descirbe how participants orient toward
recognizable types of discourse which may be signaled by paralanguage,
linguistic choice, functioanl structure, situation, role and relation of
participant
Critical analysis
Concentrate on how linguistic choices in texts reflect the power
relations between sender and receivers, how text are used to create social
inequalities through manipulation
4. Why do we call discourse analysis rather than language analysis?
Because Language analysis is the part of discourse analysis
5. What is the influence of discourse analysis in communicative language
teaching?
The influence of discourse analysis as a source of principles for detailed
description of the resource other than language knowledge which are needed
in communication.

The elements of discourse analysis include two disciplinary of linguistic,


they are Semantic and pragmatic
Semantic is a study about meaning of the sentences
And pragmatic is a study about what people mean by what they say
