Homework and Assignments:

individual basis. (Most late assignments will be docked 50%.) If you feel the need for an extension on an assignment,
please see me before the due date.

Late Assignment Policy Addition for Major Assignments:

-20% for first week they are late

-40% for second week they are late

-50% for third week they are late

Will not accept after three (3) weeks.

Late Assignment Policy Addition for Minor Assignments:

-50% if late

Will not accept after two (2) weeks.

Handing in Papers and Other Typed Assignments:

All papers and other typed assignments will be handed in to me on the day they are due. Papers can either be
handed in by email or by hard copy. Students are responsible for finding time to type their assignments. Lab computers
are available for typing before and after school. (No redos will be allowed for papers that are originally turned in late.
Other redos will be given out on a case-by-case basis and the student must have a meeting with Ms. Gondringer before
they retype their paper.)

Absences:

It is your responsibility to come to me for make up work in cases of absences. I allow two (2) days to make up
missed work in the case of an absence.

Passes:

All students are expected to come to class prepared to learn for the next hour. For this reason, bathroom, drink,
and locker passes will not be issued without a pass from Ms. Gondringer. This means that drinks and bathroom breaks
must happen within the four minutes of passing time between classes. Students also must bring all materials with them
to my classroom. If students do not have a pass, they will be counted tardy for leaving class.

Tests:

All major tests (not quizzes) will be available for retake for ONE WEEK after the original test date. You will not be
able to retake tests after this one-week timestamp. To be eligible for retaking an exam, you MUST set up a meeting with
Ms. Gondringer to go over difficult concepts. (Exceptions may be made if the need to retake after this two-week
timestamp should arise.)

Office Hours:

If you need to make up a test or get help on homework, please set up a meeting with me.

Grading:
My grading is weighted as follows:

50%: Test, projects, quizzes, papers and other larger assignments

30%: Daily work, daily homework, and smaller assignments

20%: Participation, in-class work

Extra credit opportunities may be available. Extra credit points will be added to the most

recent upcoming assignment in the Participation category.

Classroom Policies:

1. Students are to remain in their desks during class unless otherwise instructed.
2. Students are to refrain from talking out of turn during class at all times.
3. Students are expected to use the provided work time during class.

The following are not allowed in my classroom:

~ Disrespectful Attitude

~ Gum

~ Electronic Devices (unless otherwise stated)

~ Food and Drinks other than water

~ Hand Sanitizer or anything else with rubbing alcohol

~ Items that distract the rest of the class, such as paper airplanes, crumpled up balls of paper, and anything else

deemed distracting.

Failure to abide by these simple classroom policies will result in disciplinary action. Severity of disciplinary action will be
determined on a case-by-case basis. Disciplinary action becomes more severe with each infraction.

Tardiness:

Students are expected to be on time for class each day. This means that students must come to class prepared to learn.
Actions that will earn a tardy:

1. Coming to class late (after the bell)
2. Coming to class without materials.
3. Returning to locker to obtain forgotten materials.

It is imperative that all students are prepared and ready to learn each and every day as soon as the bell rings. Failure to
do so will result in disciplinary action. Disciplinary action will be determined according to the Ogilvie Area Schools policy
handbook.
