Area selection in model is missing

Question- The box that normally shows up when selecting multiple objects in my model view
does not show up anymore?

Answer- This is most likely due to an issue in your graphics card. You can verify the graphics
card is the issue by going to Tools > Options >Advanced Options in Tekla. Then go to the
"Model View" section and from there find the variable "XS_USE_SOFTWARE_RENDERING="
and change this to TRUE. Apply and restart Tekla, if the area selection box appears then the
issue is your graphics card.
You can attempt to update to the latest graphics card driver for the card you have by going
to the manufacturers website. In most cases though the issue is likely due to an internal Intel
HD Graphics card, if you right click on your start menu and go to the Device Manager under
Display adapters you can see if this card is included on your machine. If it is talk to your IT
department and see if they can turn it off through BIOS or worst case scenario disable it
through the device manager itself.
