Stand Out
Why People Dont Help in a Crisis published in 1968 by John Darley and Bib
Lantane is about a lady who is murdered and cries for help, but no one comes to the
rescue. In the article it shows two examples of victims who didnt get help. It
explained it as if we just dont care what is going on around us or whats happening
to others. But really what it is, is people look at others to see if they will react,
before they do. We are too afraid to make ourselves look foolish that we look to
each other.
