    abletoobserveherworkethic,abilities,anddedicationtotheeducationprofession.
    Ms.CookisthekindofteacherIwouldhavelikedformyownchildrenandnowformy
    grandchildrentohaveasateacher.IhavebeenimpressedwiththeknowledgeshehasoftheCore
    Standards,butevenmorethanthat,theknowledgeshehasofherclassbothcollectivelyandas
    individualstudents.Sheisconstantlylookingforwaystohelpstudentsachievebeyondwhatthey
    thinktheycando.Oneexampleisastudentidentifiedforresourceclasseswhorefusedtoeventry
    anythingintheregularclassroom.BecauseofthetimeandeffortsofMs.CookIhavewitnessed
    thisstudentbegintoattemptgradelevelwork.Sheismuchmoreconfidentinherabilitiesasa
    studentandasaperson.Thisprocesshasbeenrepeatedwithotherstudentsthatmanywould
    considerdifficultstudentswithequalsuccess.
    IntherecentDIBELSmiddleofyearassessment,herclassshowedexcellentgrowthoverall
    and25%ofherstudentsincreasedtheircompositescoresby94118points.Mostimpressivetome,
    ashercoach,wasthefactthatwhenwemetaboutthedatashehadalreadyidentifiedthestudents
    whowereinneedofinterventionstoputthemontracktoimproveandshehadplannedwhatboth
    sheandheraidewouldbedoingwiththosestudents.Hercommitmenttoexcellenceforherselfand
    herstudentsisjustoneofthemanyqualitiesthatwillmakeheranexcellentfitforGraniteSchool
    District.
